Nice cut, perfect for hiking
After only two walks in nature with a 10L backpack, the material on the inside of the sleeves and on the outer parts of the chest shriveled. It is impossible for me to understand why the manufacturer did not use softshell in those areas, but a material not resistant to the most insignificant frictions. It's a shame about the very nice cut of the product, if you compare it you will use it on few outings in nature especially if you also carry a backpack as is absolutely normal on outings in nature.
Good jacket overall, but when you have a backpack for roaming and you put on the hood you find your head in your shoulders (quite unpleasant in the long run).
Very pleasant to wear, very pleased with it.
Delighted with this purchase, promises kept in terms of windproof and warm. Size still small, had to take L instead of M

Satisfied
I only gave 3 stars to "warmth" for a reason that can probably be easily improved: the pockets are made of mesh, and when it's windy and you have your hands in the pockets, cold air enters through the interior. Furthermore, this net is not very strong, and the bottom of my right pocket quickly got a hole. Probably because I used to put keys in it for example, or a little change (but isn't that the function of a pocket?). We would therefore have to find another material for the pockets, at least for their bottom.
Comfortable
Jacket purchased in January and returned for reimbursement in May: the "nets" of the pockets are pierced even though they were only used to carry keys or badges. And the front fabric of the jacket came unstitched by 15 cm. And since there is no sewing service at the store.... This jacket was only used for urban walks. And already degraded???!!! To forget for real hiking. The quality of Decathlon products is increasingly disappointing (socks, shoes, jackets, etc.). Gone are the days of the 90s when I could confidently go on the GR with my Decathlon equipment. For every day, it happens. For trips and extreme conditions, we forget. Damage

I love both the design and the value for money.
Love it. Recommended to take it for a walk every day. In cold weather, wear a vest underneath.
This is another jacket from this series! It works very well :)

What is softshell?
It is a warm protective jacket that protects you from the wind and a short downpour (about 30 minutes) of light rain or snow.The fabric used is an assembly of 3 materials: a breathable and windproof micro-porous membrane sandwiched between the water-repellent outer side and the inner face composed of a comfortable and warm fleece.

Breathability
The main fabric used throughout the jacket, except at the sides, has a windproof membrane with a breathability of 2814 g/sqm for 24 h (according to the JIS 1099 A standard).
Water repellent property of component (not to be confused with waterproofing)
The water-repellent property of a fabric is its capacity to make water run off its surface without absorbing it. This prevents the fabric from soaking up water and keeps it lightweight and breathable. The fabric is made water-repellent by treating its outer surface, however this property may deteriorate with use.The water-repellent property can be reactivated by putting the jacket in the tumble dryer for 10 minutes on low heat.
